How to Prepare

The CCIE R&S exam is divided two section.

1) TSHOOT

2) LAB EXAM

TSHOOT is a 2hrs long session has been introduced in CCIE R&S version4. This section is based on TSHOOT tickets. You get approx 10 troubleshooting tickets & you are supposed to solve at least

8 tickets to pass this section. You must have real understanding of related technologies

to solve tickets.

LAB Section is 6hrs long session. You get number Configuration Sections. These sections include:

1) Switching

2) Routing (RIP,OSPF, EIGRP,BGP)

3) QOS

4) IP Services

5) Multicast

6) Security

& others.

You have to get 80% marks to get verified.

To prepare CCIE certification you have to study books as mentioned below.

CCIE Routing and Switching Certification Guide, 4th Edition

Routing TCP/IP, Volume 1, 3rd Edition

Routing TCP/IP, Volume 2, 3rd Edition
